DeskActive Manager Application
DeskActive Manager Application works in conjunction with DeskActive Client, allowing your health & safety team to remotely manage healthcare activity and advice programs for staff. It can be used for:
- Healthy staff where injury prevention and general health improvement are the objectives.
- Specific staff undergoing treatment or rehabilitation from an injury.
Note: your organization’s health & safety team could be an internal department, an external health provider, or DeskActive’s 'Health Assist' remote service.

- Manage staff efficiently in groups, for healthy users.
- Manage staff individually, customizing programs in detail for individuals requiring specific treatment.
- Sort or filter activities by healthcare discipline (e.g. physiotherapy), position (e.g. seated), body parts affected, health benefits (e.g. DVT or RSI prevention) and other fields.
- Mail-merge messages to quickly send a personalized message to multiple staff in one hit.
- Fully control activity programs, assigning activities and activity groups, adjusting sets/reps/speed and editing instructions for individual activities.
- Use time-saving features like 'favorite' groups, which allow health & safety professionals to design programs and then re-use them with other staff.
All this is achieved via an intuitive, easy-to-use Windows application – no special computer expertise is required.
For the vast majority of staff, DeskActive works to improve health and prevent injuries, with little need for work by the health & safety team.
For staff that do have injuries, or show early indications of potential injury, DeskActive can be used by the health & safety team to assist in their recovery and accelerate their return to work. Where face-to-face treatment is required, DeskActive works to ensure recovering staff follow an appropriate training program between face-to-face visits.

- Both health & safety team and staff can see detailed, graphical progress indicators.
- Your health providers can motivate your staff with encouragement messages.
- View lists of users in summary mode, with at-a-glance performance measures allowing early detection of users with problems.
Statistics and Reporting
Your health & safety team can analyze and report on activity usage, content preferences and keyboard/mouse activity, allowing them to:
- Quickly identify specific needs of staff. A strong preference across a group for health information concerning ‘stress reduction’, may prompt providers to introduce additional assistance in this area, e.g. seminars on stress reduction techniques.
- Identify high-risk areas for staff, either en masse or for individuals. For example, if excessive keyboard/mouse activity is detected (without breaks) in certain staff, health providers can intervene and encourage those individuals to improve their work habits and thus prevent injury.
- Detect health problems before they become costly and damaging injuries. For example a staff member who repeatedly skips lower-back activities will alert your health & safety team who can step in and take pre-emptive measures to address the staff member’s problem, before it becomes more serious.
These early detection measures are a huge time, money, and health saver!
